WHO WE ARE
Rooted in Georgetown. Driven by Advocacy.
Rawdon & Cantrill isn’t your average law firm—and we don’t want to be. We’re not in this for showmanship or headlines. We’re here to serve real people with real problems. We believe the law should be accessible, clear, and grounded in common sense. We take pride in being approachable, candid, and thoroughly prepared—whether we’re in the courtroom, at a client meeting, or giving out candy on Halloween.
Our firm is built on trust: trust in each other, trust from our clients, and trust earned from decades of doing the work right.

Meet Our Attorneys
Richard Rawdon has practiced law in Kentucky for over 50 years, earning a reputation as a steady, trusted advocate in a wide range of civil matters. Known for his level-headed counsel and deep understanding of Kentucky law, Richard combines sharp legal insight with a genuinely approachable demeanor.
He’s not big on fanfare, but his track record speaks volumes—especially in complex litigation, family law, and personal injury cases. He’s been recognized by peers and clients alike for his advocacy and integrity. And while he’s no longer as involved in some professional associations, his legacy there remains.
Outside the office, you might find Richard running on a horse farm, helping the Scott County Cardinal Football Team, or enjoying a good book (Old Man and the Sea among his favorites).

For 34 years, Dick was a High School and small College Football official.

In Havana, Cuba, 2000, with fisherman Hemingway wrote about in Old Man and the Sea.
Alex Cantrill joined the firm with a passion for advocacy and a strong belief in service through the law. A quick thinker with a calm presence, Alex has a natural ability to distill complex legal issues into clear, manageable steps for clients.
His work spans personal injury, contract disputes, and banking litigation—a growing and unique part of the firm’s portfolio. Alex brings an analytical mind, a strong courtroom instinct, and a deep respect for every client who walks through the door.
Also an endurance athlete, Alex has completed multiple marathons, a testament to his quiet determination and focus—qualities that show up in every case he takes.
